בס"ד
"The most important period of life is from birth to age six. For that is the time when man's intelligence itself, his greatest implement, is being formed."
Dr. Maria Montessori
Dr. Maria Montessori developed a unique style of education that focuses on how children interact with their world. It is an approach to education with the fundamental belief that a child learns best within a social environment which supports and respects each individual’s unique development. The “Whole Child” approach is unique in that the primary goal of a Montessori program is to help each child reach full potential in all areas of life—social, emotional, physical and cognitive preparation.
The environment is prepared to allow self-directed learning to occur— the room, materials and social climate are supportive of the learner. The Montessori materials are multi-sensory, sequential and self-correcting; they facilitate independent learning and the learning of abstract ideas.
There exists in every child: curiosity, creativity and intelligence. Our goal is to provide a stimulating, child-centered environment in which children can explore, touch, and learn without fear, thus engendering a lifelong love of learning as well as providing the child the self-control necessary to fulfill that love. Our vision at Ahava daycare is that through a carefully prepared environment and a firm foundation of Torah values every child will grow to their greatest potential and remain a lifelong learner.
